    I have recently picked up a XBOX (v1.1) mainly for XBMP and the emulators, I am currently running Phoenix Bios Loader with no modchips (used AUF hack) and the stock drive (still waiting for modchip to come in before swapping drives). As to what bios Phoenix is using, I am not sure, it was included with the zip file I downloaded.

    Everything works great, except for uploading VIA FTP. Downstream is usually very nice, but uploading takes forever. I have tried various FTP clients, cute, flashfxp, smartftp. I have tried FTPing from 4 other computers on my network. I have even tried resetting the router. And I even tried forcing 100 Full Duplex on the NICs instead of using AutoDetect. I have asked around in various xbox chatrooms, scoured the net with google and ran multiple searches through this forums search engine, nothing I can find seems to help.

    SOMETIMES, my upstream to the Xbox is pretty good, but 99% of the time its horrible.

    I did this with a 50 some meg file, this should give you guys a idea of how my speeds are.

    Downloading from Xbox -> PC
    Time: 0:00:04, Efficiency: 13423.00 KBytes/s (13745152 bytes/s)

    Uploading from PC -> Xbox
    Time: 0:02:26, Efficiency: 367.75 KBytes/s (376579 bytes/s)

    A friend of mines Xbox does this randomly as well, one day its fast, others its painfully slow.

    I hope I have included any information you guys may need to help me out if it is possible, if not, just ask. I am desperate here!

    And, just if it matters. My network is setup like this. Modem go into a MR814v1 Netgear router. I have 2 systems hooked into the router, and one line running to a 5 port 10/100 Netgear switch(platinum model, looks like my router). I have a PC and the Xbox running into the switch. All PCs are running 10/100 cards, some onboard. One is a Laptop and it has onboard 10/100 as well as a 802.11B PCMCIA card, which I dont use for FTPing to the xbox due to .11Bs speeds.
