Ok, 1st off- I know this topic has been covered time and time again, BUT I've tried all suggestions and still can not FTP into my xbox. I've got the Xecuter2 chip with Evox dash. I have a wireless card connecting me to my home network/internet and an Ethernet card which I assigned a static IP. I'm using a crossover cable to connect my machine and xbox, and my xbox default gateway matches my Ethernet NIC's IP. Just so that you all more easily understand my log, 192.168.1.109 is the xbox and 192.168.1.108 is my pc. I'm connected to a wireless network with the NIC I'm not using for my xbox connection. Do I need to try setting up another network just for this? If so, how do I do it and have it only for the NIC I want it for? How do I physically set it up on my xbox's end? I know the connection works because I get a cable disconnect when I flip my xbox off, and I can ping it so..
just go to start-conrol panel-network and internet connection-create home network and follow that wizard....
I'm already set up in a wireless network. How do I make a 2nd network for a separate NIC? I'm just trying to direct connect with a crossover cable..

Thanks for the help. I ended up having WMI issues which are still a problem, but I couldn't access my Windows Firewall through the advanced tab on my NIC or command prompt. I ended up going start>run>services.msc and killing my Windows Firewall/ICS service all together. At least I was able to finally FTP and install XBMC again.
