FTP

For some reason, I can't FTP in with my xbox. Computer is connected to xbox using a router. I have established a network connection. I am able to play halo 2 online, but for some reason I can't FTP in. Please help me.

 

Are you using static or dhcp mode?
what are you ip on pc and xbox?

 

I am using static IP. Right now my pc is 10.109.0.247 because of a new router and the xbox is 192.168.0.3. I have tried changing the xbox to the same as the pc, but it still didn't work.

 

just change it to dhcp and you should be set

 

I'm an idiot. How do I exactly change it to DHCP. You probably hate people like me, but I do appreciate it.

 

it is ok to use static. why dont you try this
On pc
ip 192.168.1.11
subnet 255.255.255.0

On xbox
ip 192.168.1.111
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.11

It will work

 

just go to network setting on your dashboard and you will see static ip "yes" or "no" and choose no...

 

there should be a place under network settings that will say dhcp
