Ok here is my problem. I have installed Unleashx and have unistalled it about say 5-10 times cause I go on XBL a lot. I installed XBMC and then all of a sudden I can't FTP my xbox. I have a dynamic IP so I switched it to DHCP and restarted the xbox. I went to FlashFTP and typed in the IP of the Xbox (I put in the pass and user too) and it timed out. This setup usually works. So I unistalled everything including XBMC and tried reinstalling everything but XBMC (cause I can't FTP to my xbox) but it still didn't work. If nobody knows I'm just gonna unlock the hard drive and put it into my comp whenever I want to transfer a file. Anyone got any suggestions??
Try using CoreFTP it works well. I know I did just about the same thing as you did, and I to switched over to DHCP. CoreFTP fixes the problem somehow... http://coreftp.com

K i know how it feels to be desperate no one helped me on my kai xbmc problem. Anyways u need to change ur xboxs Ip to lets say 192.228.877.89 and your subnet should be the same as ur pc. Ur pc's ip should be 192.228.877.88 or something like that. Gateway should be the same as ur pc's i think. Then open xbmc and then go to the network settings and just writte ur xbox's ip and gateway etc they gotta be the same as ur dashboard's. Hope that helps.

I found out what the problem was. It wasn't simple at all. My dad has a network going on that links everything to a central hub. This hub is hooked up to a firewall in his computer. His comp for some reason did something so that the xbox had its own network or someth'in like that. Anyway he actually called me and asked me if I had done that (the network modification). I said I didn't. Sure enough he deleted the setup and did not allow the comp to make that decision again. My FTP works now so I solved it, but it was not a minor niche that had to be solved it was the firewall/hub/comp/screwed up network that was doing it. So if anybody has this network setup and is having problems with FTP just ask me cause I have been through hell and back trying to get my xbox to FTP. Poobert
