Have you tried another type of CD-R? They costs about a nickel a piece now, just go buy a different brand and quit complaining newbie.

Well, if you got a v1.0 xbox, the thomson dvd-rom is really picky about the cd-rs, most of them won't work, but a majority of cd-rws will work and for dvd-r, anything but princo will work for v1.0. the v1.1 Philips dvd-rom is less picky and more media will work, and if you have a samsung dvd-rom, it should be able to read all cd-rs. Don't blame the cd-rs for it not working in your xbox. You should know the facts before you claim cd-rs suck.
