they still had better read results then my memorex.
i know this is off topic but media code (rioch)
is there a company that exclusive uses this or the
mcc2 media code. From what i saw it seemed like the media made in tawin uses rioch brand(or at least with the two medias i've tested tdk and digital movie +.

If you meant ricohjpn, then the most common media that I have used and checked out with this code is the maxell +4x.Even in all the different package sizes, they all have been checking out as ricohjpn's.

I have run into that code on sony +4x,teon +8x,and verbatim +4x data life.

All those ricoh's burned just as good as my ty's/mxl-rg02's/mxl-rg-03's/yuden0000-T02.Also excellent playback on my stand alones.

    MCC002 are also pretty good,but I'll stick with the MCC-003-verbatim data life plus/Verbatim +8x and the ty's.

It's still hard telling on some of those verbatim +4x data life. Some of the first media I bought were 3/ 30 pack spindles.
2 of the spindles of them were ricohjpn-01,and the other one was mcc-002. Some reason,my stepson's ps2 would not accept those particular ricoh's verbs-"no disc inserted error".He had no trouble with the mcc-oo2 spindle. Pretty odd,Identical packaging/quantity-different mfg codes.
