    does anyone know the manufacturer of the fujifilm discs on sale at best buy this week? thanks in advance

    They are all Taiyo Yuden. There are two kinds there... The ones that say either 16x, 24x,32x or 40x have a white screw on cap on top and says made in Japan. The newer black color casing that says 48x made in Japan.

    I have had problems with these Fuji's...
    Some of the DVD-ROM-drives does not seem to recognise the CD's...

    I have burned about 8 of these (of the 10-pack i bought) and it seems, that the only good purpose to use these is audio CD. No problems in there. However, anytime i put one of these Fuji's in to my DVD-ROM-drive it doesn't read them at all. And that's not all! When I try to eject the disc, nothing happens. (This happens on both of my OS's WinXP and Linux...) Phhh..
    The only way to get the CD from the drive, is to boot the PC.
    This problem occurs on both data-cd:s and audio cd:s... But on my 10-year old stereos and my roommate's crappy car-cd player, They work fine.
    Mysterious, indeed...
