    Is it from a torrent download.
    Probably just a fake file - although the term 'junk' is legitimate (in a real file).

    Looks like a junk file to me.. 702MB unneeded bytes at EOF.. it's rubbish or incomplete newsgroup source. I would be suspicious and virus scan it to death. 955 KB is about the size of stormworm..

    attar, by "junk" are you meaning blank or duplicate frames.. or things added as in empty frames to get to a keyframe?

    @varnull
    Junk, as in padding or place-keeper inserted in AVI to align data blocks.
    It's an odd term, but I recall that in the age of sail, 'junk', meaning old rope or sails, could be used in an emergency to staunch the flow of water caused by damage below the waterline.
    Hows that for off-topic.

    Thanks :) That's what I thought it meant. This file seems to have a lot of it padding out the rest.

    We have seen these types of files used to try to trick people into downloading fake players which then installs malware or gathers email info for spammers. Most are harmless, but some contain quite vicious malware. Always check the comments for torrent sources.
