I picked up a G4 in a lot buy and am trying to repair it but am not very Mac savvy. Here's what is happening.

I turn it on and all fans work and drives power on and PSU tested to be working. However, the power LED is not staying on but everything acts like it working, with the exception of no video output.

I have unplugged everything piece by piece, powering on and off after every piece taken out, same thing happens. I reset the PMU to no avail. I finally managed to take the heatsink off and it looked as if the dual processors were fried (very dark in color). So with the heatsink off (for a matter of 3 seconds, it looked like the processor board was smoking, or at least that's where it looked like it was coming from.

Is it safe to assume that the processors were already fried or did I just fubar? Also, is there anyway to test the logic board to make sure it's good (without having to take to a shop)?

I can't think of anything else it could be and don't want to rebuild this thing if it isn't worth doing. Any help is appreciated.
