Corect me if iam wrong but i need theses two to play DS ROMS right? What will i have to do once i have these items in my hand and will i have to flah my DS or anything like that? what are the disadvantages of these two and what are other options. Thanks Alot

The G6 lite fits perfectly into the DS Lites GBA slot, this is what you store your NDS/GBA games on, to be able to play the NDS games from the GBA slot you need to have the Passcard3 in the DS slot.

When you have these items, all you will need to do is copy your NDS/GBA games from your computer to the G6 using the G6's software.

You only need to flash your DS if you do not want the Passcard3 in the DS, though you will still need the Passcard at least once to install the flash replacement.

Other options include the EZIV Lite and the M3 range.

The EZIV Lite is alot like the G6 Lite but also uses microSD cards.
The M3's use media cards for storage, they stick out of the DS lite but their DS and GBA compatibilty goes unrivaled. For a DS Lite I recommend the miniSD version as it sticks out the least.

Hey whats up I've noticed you respond to alot of questions here and i just want to thank you for all your help and i just had a few more questions... so are you saying i should go with the M3 MiniSD and PassCard3 combo? Well you see I was really looking for something that doesnt really stick out of the DS becauses i like my DS LITE because it is much smaller then the "Fat" DS. and what do you mean by NDS and GBA compatibility? do you mean some games are not playable with the G6 Lite while they are with the M3? Also is there a way i can back up my games or download them... Also i been wondering what it means when people say "clean dumps", "ROMS", "homebrew" and where i can get them and play them...ETC well thats about it for right now :) and again thanks alot You are a major help to the "New" people to this stuff... See ya

Not nessecarilly, I personally think the G6 Lite sounds quite good, however I have not read much about it, if it is anything like the original G6 it will work fine, but may struggle if playing videos using moonshell. The advantage of an M3 would be that you can get lots of storage and if you get a fast card video playback is perfect.

Also, some games such as Spyro and Castlevania's video need a fast card to work correctly.

As far as I know the G6 lites DS compatibilty is the same as the M3's, but I do not know anything of the GBA side of things, there are other cards on the market though, such as the supercard, that claim to have GBA support, but really...it sucks.

There is a homebrew program that allows you to dump your original DS games onto CF/SD card using an M3, i cannot remember what this is called, and I am pretty sure it dosn't work with the G6.

Bittorrent usually has groups of 20-50 roms, or is your after single games you can try http://www.dgemu.com though you have to sign up, and it uses a strange point system for you to download.

Clean Dumps are roms of DS games that have not been altered, i.e. no patches or trainers applied, and the rom has not been trimmed.

ROM means Read Only Memory, a rom is basically a copy of what was stored in the cartridges memory, i.e. the game.

Homebrew, this is games and aplictaiosn created by individuals, they are not liscensed by nintendo (or anyone else) and make them purly becasue they want to. Some good homebrew includes Moonshell, which allows you to play music and video on your DS. DSorganise, which turns your DS into a Callender/Day planner PDA thing. and DSLinux, which is a command line based port of the Linux OS to the DS.

You can get homebrew from http://www.nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk

hmm...okay so whats the difference between the M3 SD Slim Version and the M3 mini SD, is one smaller then the other, do they use the same software? So iam thinking about going with the M3 because it uses the SD cards and i can really get more storage then what the G6 LITE offers. Oh and will all of this avoid the warranty or change the DS software to where i can never go back to how it was when i first bought it..thanks alot See ya

Hey also about the EZFlash4..how would you compare those against the M3's because i am considering it for it's usage of MicroSD cards and i will be able to have more storage then the G6 Lite.. Is it not as compatible, are there any problems with it...ETC THANKS Again and see ya.

The miniSD version is smaller than the SD Slim, the SD slim use SD cards whereas the miniSD uses miniSD cards.

Unless you choose to install flashme, none of this will void your warrenty.

again, this will only be the case if you decide to install flashme.

I would assume that it is, but I do not know for sure.

I do not yet know much about the EZIV Lite so I cannot say much about it, sorry.
