    Hi all:
    Today I recieved my G6 flash lite+passcard 3 combo.
I attached the G6 lite to the usb stick and it was recognize
by windoes right away. After that using the G6-udisk manager
I was able to write some roms into the flashcard.
Afterwards I played the games with no problem.
I putted the DS away and after 4 hours went back to play.
    Then something began to happen.
First when I choose the passcard icon I got the ds loads fine but then it says "please waiting" and never loads. After turn off and on a couple of times the DS i finally get to work and to load the g6 lite roms.
But then I turned it off and when I try to load another rom I get the same "please waiting" in the top screen and nothing in the lower screen.

Well I got the G6 lite out of the DS and now when I plug it into the memory stick is not even recognize by windows. Well that's not exactly true. Windows finds the stick and creates a drive on my computer called Removable Disk(G:) but when I double click it it says "Please insert a disc into drive G:"

I'm afraid there is a problem with the G6 lite...

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    P.

There is most likely a problem with the G6 Lite. Before jumping to that conclusion, though, I would try hooking it up to another computer to see what it does. If it reads it, format the card in FAT format and run the utilities on it. After you stick your ROMs onto the card, defrag it - this is important with FAT file system drives.

If for some reason you can't get it working, its time to send it back

    Hi again:

    Thanks for your reply.
I have tried all the things you said and many more.
I cleaned the contacts, rechecked the connections with U-disk.
I installed and unistalled the software. I even tried to connect the
memory stick to another computer with the same results: windows creates a drive but it is impossible to access it or to format it.

Any other ideas? Right now I'm pretty sure, and sad to say, that it has to be a hardware problem and not a software one...

No, No, NO! Do not defrag the G6, this can cause big problems with how it works and would lead to needing to format the device.

As for the problem of the G6, it sounds like it broke the same way mine did :(

go to the G6 website and email the team saying what the problem is and they will either tell you how to fix it or give you an address where you can send the G6 to be fixed.

^really? I thought defragging it would be OK since it uses the FAT system. I've defragged my SD cards that I use with the M3 and haven't had problems.. hm. I guess since its a different format its understandable

You are right to defrag SD cards and most things that use FAT/FAT32, however it just seems to be a bad thing to do with the G6. Might have something to do with the hidden partition or something, I dunno, but the G6 team do recommend against it, and it did bugger up my G6 once.
