I`m sure this has been posted or been spoken of, i just would like to know since i dont know much about flash cards with the DS. any form of help would be greatly appreciated. I have a DS Lite, my buddy that is far far away has a Supercard SD Card and he has been using that with no problem. ive been thinking about getting some sort of flash card for my new DS lite. although i am still alittle confused on some topics and a comparison between the 2 cards. I have been thinking about getting either a G6 Lite Card or a Supercard lite. ive read that G6 lite is the better of the 2 cards (i read alittle about M3 as well.) since there is no problems with GBA games and it has more features. i am just using it for DS and GBA games...i dont think im going to do much Homebrew...but if i get that G6 lite then it comes with a player and other features. i was just wondering. 1. My Buddy is using his Mario Cart DS game for his superpass, i dunno know much about it but when i was playing around he needed that game in there in order for his SuperCard to work (it wouldnt read if it wasnt in there.) just wondering if it is really necessary to buy a superkey or if i could just use an original game in the DS slot to make the G6 Lite or supercard lite to work. im not sure if he has the Superpass or not and if its a difference in types of Cards? 2. the G6 lite comes with a UBS flash so the method of dumping games on to the card is quite obvious, im not too sure about the Supercard lite...how does it work? my buddy uses his card reader to load his games onto his SD card...i saw a superpass 2 and it seems like you could fit the card into it and load it off that? is this the correct method? if so it means that this too has to be bought...i have a shortage of cash. 3. As for the G6 lite...i see that there is a 1G,2G,and 4G which i would assume that the level of memory in the disks. just wondering like the 4G, is it one card or a bunch of cards that are split in Memory? ive seen a GBA Cartridge and Dust Case Cartridge (some with Mulit Dust Case Cartridges on Auction.) i would hate to carry around a bunch of cartridge, if it is one cartridge then that would be great. Any other forms of information about the 2 cards would be great since im alittle stumped about what to get. Im in Japan now and dont know many places to get them, where to buy would be great as well. Money is an issue since i really dont want to disk out for SuperCard Lite, SuperPass 2 and SuperKey unless its really worth it. im turning my eyes towards to G6 lite since it comes in one package. that of course depends on what i can get my hands on to (on Auction it looks like there are more SuperCards.) Its really hot here in Japan.
1. Yes, you need a passcard to get any of the flashcarts to work, get a passcard of superkey, they do the same thing, just different brands. 2. For a supercard lite, you use microsd memory cards, the G6 lite has built in memory of 512MB, microsd cards can hold up to 2GB if you buy a 2GB card. Superpass 2 is the older version of passme that requires a DS game to access the flashcart, nowadays there are nopass devices that look exactly like DS game cards, get a superkey or passcard, etc. You load your games onto the microsd and then put thatin the supercard lite which goes in your DS lite. 3. the g6 lite only comes in the 4Gb version, which is 4gigabits, which is only 512mbytes of memory. (8 bits = 1 byte) to get a g6 lite to work, you will ned to buy a passcard g6 lite = $~80 USD passcard = $~30 total = $110 + shipping ($10 to $30 depending on where you shop) supercard lite + superkey = $~80 1Gbyte microsd card + usb card reader = $~50 total = $130 +shipping or you could get a 512Mbyte microsd card for about $~20 in my opinion, I'd go with a supercard lite, it's cheaper and you get more storage space and better homebrew compatiblity (like music and video players, PDA's, use your DS as a PC gamepad, use the DS as a PC mouse, etc). If all you're going to do is play DS and GBA games, take a look at the EZIV Lite. It's cheaper, and works great with DS and GBA games. However, it lacks homebrew because the EZ Flash team won't release the write code for it. Take a look at my EZIV guide for more info on it. It's got a couple problems, but nothing that can't be dealt with.
