Hi there. Managed to get hold of two images. They are in Nrg* format. Usually can burn images without problems - but these are a pain. 1st image - 703,921 kb 2nd image - 659,637 kb First time i burnt these i made coasters. Windows unable to read image - probable corruption. These files look to big to be burnt? First disk tried burning without tweaking with Nero settings. Second changed output to RAW. I know u gotta finalize CD but that didnt make any difference either. Isobuster tells me that both the files are 580 mB - why do they appear larger in the NRG format? Anyhow what would be the best way to burn these babies? Change image format? I'd be really appreciative of any help/solutions.(probably bin dun b4) no pun Cheers
Hi. No its 700mb media. Daemon tools wouldnt even mount the image which i thought was bizarre. The guy said those is his comment that it was his first upload of a torrent. Although the actual data on the cd's comes up as 590 mb a piece when viewed in isobuster. I've just got hold of a dvd iso of the same game and that wont even play ball - gonna burn a copy of the image to dvd and mount with daemon. That works for sure.. Still a little puzzling tho. Thanks for ur input
You burning using the correct mode/sector type format? (i.e., not Nero?) Try CDRWIN5, fairly simple interface, lets you spec the mode type and sector size
Cool. Ill give that a go. I thought that nero wudda done the job. But ill check it out.You know what the most common altenative mode/sector configuration is apart from straight ISO burning. Foreign image box popping up always makes me feel uneasy - like a premonition 4 a coaster People prob say this all the time but the forums are damn helpful! Thanks again.
Hi. hi all hey there praetor hows it good bud? Ok be careful what you say about downloading from TORRENT that file share system as it lets people know you dont own originals and may get you banned from afterdawn... cant you just extract using isobuster then burn the files and folders? dont forget volume labels! relax... _X_X_X_X_X_[small] ITS THE BULKPAQ ORANGE "GENERATION 4" GUY www.ukdvdr.co.uk http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm http://dvdshrink.info http://dvdshrink.info/compilation.php 2 dvds in 1[/small]
Yeh guess so. Of course i own the originals But point taken bout stating such topics. Everywhere has rules so my apologies. Lots of other ways to correct image problem, so its all gud in the end.
If Daemon wont mount it and CDMage wont open it then odds are it wont work and ur just hitting a brick wall. Was the download complete? You can... using CDMage ... but if CDMage wont open it (MODE1/2048) then you're prolly outta luck
ya, the download completed successfully and when i try to open it in CDmage, it just freezes so i have to close it. Looks like its a bad file, all well thanks for the input.
