Hello. I recently modded my Gamecube to fit full size dvd's. Does anyone know if I have to adjust my laser to read these full size dvd's? I copied some of my games from mini dvd's to full size dvd's and some of them will not work. Has anyone else tried this? jamieshan
I had problems when i softmodded my gamecube. I first used mini-DVDs and didnt have much luck. So then I thought well ill get a replacment top to fit full DVDs and see if that helped cause the mini-DVDs was getting to expesive. Still the same problem wasnt working even after replacing the top and using full sized DVDs. I even adjusted the POT and it still didnt work. So I figured it was because my gamecube was old. So I went and bought a new gamecube and tried the mini-disk before changing the top cover so i wouldnt void the warenty. The mini-disk took right off in the new gamecube. So I replaced the top with the full size DVD case since they are cheaper then mini-DVDs. Havent had 1 problem since. I then sold my older gamecube in the paper with a few games for 60 bucks so I almost made up the diffrence for the new Gamecube. Also it would probably be better if you re-ripped your games with the original game rather then using the burnt mini-disc. It also could be low quility full sized DVDs your using to back up.
