installed a XenoGC and tested. Booted up fine, but I just shut it off afterwards, within like 8 seconds. Put it back together then tried to load up a backup to play. Game FROZE during the bootup, before I was even able to play. Tried diff types of media, same thing. Tried Original game, same thing. Removed the chip, same thing w/ diff originals.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with my GC, and specifically, how to fix it? Any fuses blown or something? I get no DRE's, it reads the media fine, but then just freezes at about 15-20 seconds after powering on the GC.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Correction: Game freezes when I press a button on the controller. This happened in the original of Mario sunshine w/ the chip REMOVED where it said that I had no memory card in the slot, so i pressed a button, and fREEZE

update: I just tested the laser on a working GC, and it's not the laser as mine is perfect. The pot is factory setting.

Are you sure you put the GC back together properly? It sounds like you either put it together wrong or you damaged something while you put it back together. This is taking into consideration that it worked while you had it apart but didn't after you put it back together.
