I'm an expert at backing up xbox and ps2 games (got like hundreds of backed up games). I always wanted to backup gamecube games too but like the phantasy star online method kind of sucked, but somebody told me now you can make perfect working backups of gamecube games, I wont ask how. can anyone give me like links to gamecube modding sites/guides besides the "Full Guide to Gamecube Backup/Booting " one? ? cant find none. it'd be greatly appreaciated
as far as im concerned, to backup a gamecube game is like very similar to backing up an xbox game, like you got to network your xbox and pc so you can transfer the game from xbox to pc through a crossover cable using a program like FlasXhp, then you create an iso image of what you transferred then you burn it. whatd you think
Run GCOM v2.2 on the GC and stream the ISO on the network. Download it on the computer using Internet Explorer.
i thought so. looks so easy but like why dont they start a new Full Guide to Gamecube Backup/Booting ? the one they got right now is like outdated, i mean any newbie who reads that will get confused cause it's really old. it's just an advice.
The new stuff is mentioned towards the end, but no one wants to search through a mess of posts just to find the one nugget of information they need. That's the problem with that sticky, it's just too damn big. It'd be nice to have that torn down and have all the new stuff added in, but I wouldn't know how to go about getting that done.
exactly, they should make a whole new official backing up gamecube games thread, maybe less newbies would start the same threads over and over again. I wish the owner of this forum would be reading this.
