Hello, I was wondering if you have a gamecube with the viper installed if you can still play online. I know ps2's with modchip can not but, I do not know if I should bother to buy a high-speed adapter for my cube. Thanks

It depends if you use a downloaded gamecube game to go online with, Phantasy star use a serial key to go online it comes with the game you buy, you have to use it register if two match then they will ban you from the sega server.
But if you already own the copy of Phantasy Star and use your backup copy with the serial key then it will be fine.
Xbox and Ps2 have hardware checks when they go online Nintendo don't check Gamecube's yet, and i don't think that they will bother until the Revolution is out, ive got a feeling that they will also ban the DS using therd party software.
