Hi, I tried to use the search function and could only find something about a Rubber Band trick :p
    Here it goes anyway..

Yesterday I went to the store and bought some Mini-DVDs and though I would give it a try to start a burned Mini-DVD without any modchip.

I used the old PSO (Phantasy Star Online) Trick to connect to my computer, Used the GCOS .Dol file (http://www.gamecubeos.com) via Phoenix 2.5.

Had the PSO Dvd in, and pressed Boot DVD in the GCOS menu.
When it started to read the DVD I Opened the lid and moved the Laser Lins to it's most outer position and then inserted the Burned DVD.. Closed the lid and it worked! (Sometimes it didn't work for 2-3 times and then worked again)

    Is this something known?
If it is something known, then I'm sorry.
Was rather hard to search for such a thing.

    Thanks

You are saying that you moved the laser lens thingy, from it's position to the outer position?

On every cd player i've had, when ever I have moved that part, it broke the cd player.

Unless I am just misunderstanding what you are saying, but that sounds bad to me.

But as for disk swapping and stuff, that's been mentioned before. it was actually a point I didn't understand. I thought using the GCos, you didn't need to swap anything, it would load the backup up. But as I wasn't able to get gcos to my gc, i've never tried it.

Nevermind what I wrote, I found out that it had nothing to do with me moving the Lens and so ;P
