Good Day, First of all, please forgive me, I am very computer illiterate. I have a question and most likely will use all the wrong words. I do nothing more than check email and use FB once or twice a year....PLZ take it easy on me... Ok, my daughter has several very large new games she wants to install on the computer. There are already a good amount on here that she still enjoys. Is there a way that I can create something (is the word virtual?) so that the games can be played by disk only.? Is there a way I can set my comp up, or use a application that allows you to play games straight from the disk without a need to install the whole thing? I have Vista on my desktop (Aspire) and vista on my laptop(HP). Service pack 1... Hp is x64 based with AMD X2 Dual...4.0 GB RAM 7.73 GB virtual Aspire................Athlon Dual...3.0 GB RAM 5.68 GB virtual I hope I made some sense! Thank you ahead of time for any help! Peace&Respect
If the game requires installation to disk, there is no other way that you can play them. Simply, the installation files are in one format, the game itself in another.
Get yourself one of these. Install the games on to it. The only thing you will have to do differently is change the install path/directory in which it will be C:/Program Files/YourGame. you will have to change it to X:/FolderX/GameX. There should be a custom install setting or text box that should allow you to do this. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Dig...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280767985&sr=8-1
