Well i'd say the easiest way is to put your game that you want to rip on your HDD to(make sure you are still in your dash) and then FTP to your xbox and find your game and transfer the files to your computer..........and then put them in your games folder........ But you can't fit a whole game on your HDD only a part cuz it won't fit.....So that means you can only put 1 game on it and not the whole games........If you want to fit more you are gonna need to get another HDD
Since you have stock hdd (8GB), you only can store 1 game in the hdd. So there is no point to work hard for it. Yes, like tocool4u said. You have softmod, ftp is the easiest way. Ftp game from drive D on xbox to PC. Then Ftp game folder from PC to Xbox's hdd.
