Games seen as dvd movies? What am I doing wrong?

Ok so I've been playing backups for a long time, eventually I ran out of dvd+r dl's. I bought some new ones. I only used Memorex because they always worked for me, but this time I bought the new memorex in the white boxes instead of the purple ones.

I also had to redownload Imgburn cuz since I last burned a game I put a new OS on here.

So anyways, I burn the image, pop it in, and the 360 says Play DVD instead of play whatever game it is with a picture in the back. I press it and the screen flickers, and shows the Xbox symbol, with the dvd controls on the bottom.

I've already made 2 coasters. My thoughts are either, all these disks are bad, which I seriously hope not, or there's some imgburn setting I forgot about? I just downloaded the new Imgburn 2.5

What should I do?

 

You will need to update your iXtreme to 1.6 to play all of the latest games.

If your iXtreme is already updated then it is the discs. Go for Verbatim.

 

damn.....that sucks.....is there any way to update it without going through the hassle of opening my xbox again?

just google for v14-15.ppf file and download ppf-o-matic3 program to patch the game so it will work for your xtreme version

I don't understand why people do that. It doesn't make sense. Just update to 1.6. It will be the safest.

 

it just sucks this happened, considering my situation
upgraded to windows 7 64bit, so without 32bit i can't use PortIO probably so no jungle flasher thingie
also didn't save all my files from when I did the flash, so have to start over

also my via pci card isn't even in my computer, i bought a new computer, and it has an nforce sata thing, not sure if it'll work

now i have to find the torx screw thing too which i lost, so i'll probably have to buy it

it's just a huge huge hassle :\ but yeah, probably worth it, i already have the pre-march 2009 games i want lol, i wanted to play batman and wet lol

that's my issue too. I have a second 360 I want to patch, but I can't/haven't tried yet because I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit as well.

I'll see if I can get it done with the flash stick/thumb drive sometime soon.

k, xbox disassembled, tomorrow I'll move my computer from under the desk to on top of the desk, and start connecting and maybe I'll get this done tomorrow

oh lol verbatims....well memorex are cheaper and i haven't had a problem once, after burning at least 30 games probably

Verbatim branded discs. More specifically Verbatim DVD+R DL Made in Singapore discs.

 

Problem is they will burn your laser out so much faster..

 

oh.....i've had my 360 the day the hdmi pro came out, and i've never had a problem, no rrod either

 

ok so i just realized...after thinking i was making coasters...was that all the games that were not working are wave 3 games..i used the maximus 360 firmware, how do i update to make my game read the 3rd wave games?
