Well I am making a gaming PC and well I'm picking out keyboards right now. My question is do gaming keyboards really enhance your gaming experience and skills?

I'm looking at the logitech G15 and the Merc stealth gaming keyboard so if anyone used those before it would be great if you gave feedback but any other gaming keyboards would be good.

they wont make you any better at gaming but they will have lots of nice features that can be usefull. i have the G11 and i like to use a few of the macro keys in my games and the lighted keys is nice when i turn the lights off. i also like the media buttons at the top so i can control music. but in the G115 that is replaced with a small lcd screen.

They don't make you better at games. The G15 is a pretty nice keyboard Just pick what you want. Like krj said the keyboards have macro keys and you can assign whatever you want to those keys so it's helpful. The LCD screen is useless though, in my opinion,

The G15 is vast and cumbersome. Keyboards like the Saitek Eclipse are nice because they function perfectly well as regular keyboards, but are tactile enough to help you game. Any decent keyboard is fine for gaming, just avoid the cheap nasty and/or microsoft stuff.

The LCD screen on the G15 is very useful, but only adds to the bulk of the keyboard. I use a Pertelian X2040, which is like a less professional version of same, but separate from the keyboard.
