ok so I got gears on pc. At first I had a problem : when I double click on the desktop icon the menu would come up, I click play and it would say "please insert the correct DVD-ROM then click ok and restart the program"(even though the correct disk was in). Anyway I sorted that problem by getting a patch so I did'nt have to use the disk.

Now I am faced with another problem : I click on the game then click play, the screen then maximises and I get a message "please double click startup.exe to play gears of war" the epic sign then comes up and then the microsoft sign comes up then gears closes.

UPDATE: I fixed that problem but now have another: I start playing gears and about 10 mins after I get an error report message which makes me close the game. I'm not sure whats causing it but its driving me insane!
Anybody know what to do? Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
    Thanks

Please tell me you're not using Vista. Vista has a problem with some prgrams and they crash for no reason what-so-ever.

A few things you can do though is run Windows Updates. Find an update for your graphics card, and make sure your computer can handle it, read the reccommended system requirements, they're there for a reason.
