Two things. I need to update my DVD writing software. Nero doesn't complete the lead-in/out information correctly for DVD creation so I am changing it. I have trialed RECORD NOW and GEAR. They both seem alright, but I would like to here on peoples opinions, before I take the plunge. The second is related to the title of the thread. I have a copy of DVDXCOPY and I must say, that without fail it backs up my DVDs without a hitch. 321 Studios use GEARWORKS drivers. I asked 321 if these drivers were supplied by GEAR software and was told NO, but they didn't say who supplied them. I would love to get hold of some normal burning software that used GEARWORKS drivers. Any ideas? I look forward to your replies. Ta! Dr DVD.
Firstly, Stomps Record Now Max 4.50 is the program to go for if you are not happy with Nero. Nero have just released V 5.5.10.35 to give greater DVD compatibility with DVD-R. It also corrects previous versions DVD problems. Secondly, don't get Gearworks, get Record Now max 4.50
Thanks for your reply. Do you mean don't get GEAR or did you really mean GEARWORKS? If you did mean GEARWORKS who actually makes the drivers? Ta! Dr DVD
