    I have this card:
    eVGA nVidia Geforce FX5500
    256mb ddr 128 bit AGP

does anyone have this card and play Battlefield 2? i don't have the game yet, but I want to get it but my card isn't listed as a supported card for Battlefield 2 on EA's site.

if you have the card and have played the game with it, let me know how it went or if it won't play at all.

    TIA

Geforce FX5500 + Battlefield 2 = horse dung. I had an FX5500 and it was just unplaybale. It didnt help that I have a Celeron with 128KB L2 cache either.

What kind of CPU do you have?

I have this card and it played bf2 just fine, you may want to get something better thought, as it is heavily taxed to play this game. Stil l playes the game like it should though!

I was running BF2 on an FX5200. Wasnt one of the cards listed as compatible, but it worked.......barely. The 5500 will limit your resolution to probably minimum settings. If you have the money, spring for a new card.

the card will be screaming but it will work, would higly suggest a 6800, pretty reasonable price and will be able to play on med and possibly high settings depending on the maker
