My brand new qoob pro should be arriving anyday now but I have a few questions about the size of my backups. If my backups (some of them) comes out at 700mb or 800mb or somewhere under 1.4gb do I have to use the fstfix program to add dummy files just so my gamecube will boot my backup. I haven't really gotten a clear answer on this matter yet cause really I plan on making multigame isos and of course the smaller the game, the more i can add to one disc. So if the image is smaller than 1.4gb will it still work or am I forced to add dummy files thx for the help. Also will my backups run just as well on dvd-r as they would on mini dvds thanks.
OK, when you rip a disk, no matter what method, the ENTIRE disk is copied; this includes the garbage data (unless it removes the garbage on-the-fly while ripping, dont know if anything does this). You will get the entire 1.35isg GB image every time. Tools that clear that data, like GCM Utility 0.5(Use this always, it also makes mulitboot ISOs) just remove that garbage, all the real data is still there. So any GCM or ISO that is less than the full 1.35 gb has just been wiped. When you are streaming games via the BBA, GCMs work fine when they are wiped. When burning images to DVD-Rs, the images must be fstfix'd I havent used multiboot ISOs, so i dont know specifics about them. DVD-Rs, depending on the quality, work alright (Ritek RiData G04 Mini DVD-R works best. Hope that wasn't too confusing :-$
