Hi I'm hearing rumours about watching videos and listening to music on the DS, and also even surfing the net!! It is true? Does it break your DS? Where can you get it??
Nintendo is coming out with a Ds web browser made by opera, but i don't know when it will come out. And i know that only japan has a divice called the play Yan, which plays mp3's, but i don't know when its coming out in North America.
ive been looking around go here is this out in japan or america too? http://www.gameboy-advance.net/nintendo_ds/nds-m3adapter.htm
You can get that in america too. It is able to play video and music once converted, or by using Moonshell (which now comes with it) you can play Mp3's without conversion. You can also then put DS Linux on that and use its text-based web browser for basic internet access. That device can also be used for homebrew, and playing roms of DS and GBA games.
In a way, yes, however it is currently only text based. (Like DOS if you use windows) Hence why it's web browser is only text based, there is plenty of information on the DS Linux website www.dslinux.org, this includes how to use DS Linux and set up more complicated things such as wireless on it.
ok thanks dont know much about modding and emulators but is it like a game cartridge, just plug and play??
DS Linux is a file that you put onto a cartridge for the DS (such as the M3 metioned earlier) which you can then run on the DS.
