I've been going around the block with this forever. I have a divx file that I want to make a vcd for my kids. The file has some bad frames (pixelation, etc) but plays through and stays in sync fine when watched as avi through media player. When I try to encode to mpg to make vcd using tmpeg...starts and plays fine until you get to the bad sections (after 25 min) then audio out of sync and gets worst at each bad section . I'm using sld codec pack. Do I have a problem or should I just seperate audio and video and start chopping? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Your freindly neighborhood computer geek[/small]
I've never used them myself but there's supposed to be a couple programs out there to correct bad avi's. One I know is called Divfix, maybe correcting the original before you convert will help.
