Why I cannot get higher speed of 23mbit between my PC and my GC?

A friend tell me that the dvd is arround 27mbit, but if i set my speed at 27, my gamecube cannot get the stream from my PC.

Eh... he said that he got 23MB speed... and did'nt said that he even got PSO...

Do you have any other processes running at same time when streaming? it affects streaming speed... and u have to have good enough computer...
And with what program are u monitoring the speed? some programs are lying many times, one very good for speed monitoring is Netlimiter.

I have the GUI version of GCSIM, and i'm using the last Starcube loader. When i'm setting to 24, the gamecube begin to sloooooow down very much. At 23mbit, all run great and fine, except the "sound" in some video or when something is loading.

doesnt the bus that the broadband adapter is connected to have a max of 24mb/s despite the broadband adapter being 100mb/s compatable?

Yes, the Gamecube's data bus speed is capped at about 23/24Mbits/sec. Seeing as how that's the read speed of the optical drive the folks at Nintendo figured nothing more than that was really necessary.
