Get The New Dashboard Update... NOW!

    1. Download this file - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UX8K2QX1

    2. Put it into a folder called $SystemUpdate

    3. Put the $SystemUpdate folder onto a flash drive, thumb drive, or a CD

    4. Plug the flash drive or thumb drive into your xbox, or put the CD into the drive.

    5. Start your xbox, it'll ask you to update twice, just say yes.

    Have tried it and it works 100%, just don't know if this is an easy way for M$ to drop us a ban hammer.

    New dashboard update... as in nxe, or a third party update? Is it possible to reverse the dashboard? I might try this out.

    It's the august 11th update, I think I will wait 2 weeks and save myself an xbox (unless I try it out on my unmodded console?).

    This is the August 11th update. It was released for people on the preview list, which they started releasing to a day or two ago. I have updated and my iXtreme 1.51 is unaffected, I can play all my backups with no problem. I can still sign into XBL and my Avatar Mods still work.

    I thought you had to sign up for this and give Microsoft your serial number of your 360 so they could push the update out to you. If you did this without their consent and got online??? You would be asking for a ban. Didn't a bunch of people do this for NXE and got banned?

    best feature i see in that pic is ejecting the disc from the controller. it was retarded to remove this feature.

    No. MS released a statement to the testers not to use their hard drive on different consoles because then that console would automatically be updated. And it was fine that it updated, but that console wouldn't log on to LIVE anymore until the official release.

    No one got banned.

    so did i and i didn't get an email and i've just turned my xbox on and its updated anyway.

    maybe thats what i was thinking. just confused the no LIVE for a banning...its been a while since it was up so i get a pass, lol.
