Hello everyone. I am new to GC modding, but i'm not new to modding. Anyways, i've been doing a little research lately and i think i've decided on getting aa Qoob Pro chip and a new lid so i use full sized discs. Anyways,, i am curious about peoples opinions on this chip and whether or not there's anything i should know. Thanks

It's a great chip. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. Flashing is a breeze, and with onboard memory you can run applications right from the chip.

Unfortunately, it's a bit outclassed in terms of features when compared to Viper GC Extreme though, since that has more USB functionality (back-ups can be made using USB for example).

Considering the similar price range, I suggest taking a look at Viper GC Extreme as well and seeing which chip you'd like the most. They're both excellent chips, but right now the Viper GC Extreme just seems a bit better in terms of features. If you don't plan on making your own back-ups though, it doesn't matter which chip you get since that's the only real difference in hardware.
