Getting a wireless router while on a adsl internet connection

    hello, i have just a normal adsl connection via optus and have a ps3 and wii which i both want to get online via wireless, am i able to retain my adsl connection but by a wireless router to get online with both consoles

    Typically yes. If your modem runs over ethernet, plug it straight into the WAN port of any wireless router. If it's USB, you will need to buy a router that also contains a modem or you will only be able to access the net on your consoles while your PC is running (Internet connection sharing).

    thanks for your reply, does anyone know any good wireless routers i can use to have internet ps3 and wii all online at once

    pretty much all half-decent wireless routers allow as many devices as you like online at once. We use the WRT54GL router which allows two laptops and a Wii internet access at once, whilst feeding internet over cable to three desktop PCs and an xbox 360. Works pretty well.

    i was directed to this brand of wireless router when asking the person at my local store, think it will be fine for wii ps3 and so on at once

    As i say, I can use multiple wireless devices at once fine with it.
