Right i have spent the past few hours "cleaning" the wifes new V220 (getting rid of all the rubbish tha i comes preloaded with as described in the numerous stickies on here.

I then made a new MP3 ringer ready to be up'd onto the phone (via p2kman), i have followed all the instruction aout deleting the two *.db files and re-starting etc, but can i get it to work as a ringer? NO

I can see and play the file in the player on the phone, but when i go into the audio options to select it manually, it chucks me back out to the setting menu!!

How do you get around this?

I have up'd *.jpeg/gif etc and they all work fine its just the audio seems to be up the swanny, have i knackered the phone by deleting the wrong audio files?

As usual i ignored all the comments about backing up the files and now everything has gone that i have deleted;(

Can anyone help me solve this issue as i dont wanna have to tell the wife that i have killed her 2 hr old phone!

I've had the same problem before. Make sure your MP3 bitrate is between 32 to 48 so it would work as ringtone.

do a master clear or a master reset or use PST and change all the ringer tones to 0(silent) and write it to the phone and restart it and it should work

Ive tried a master reset and that hasnt worked.....ive also tried reducing the bitrate and that causes the files to be corrupted!

Is there anyway anyone can email me their back up of all the audio files from their back up?

Ive also noticed that if i have the ring type set to loud or anything with sound and the phone will not receive a call!

    Sounds bad doesnt it....:(
