Getting Banned Question.

I softmodded before I had Xbox Live, then my Xbox broke and I bought a 360. I only got Live When I got a 360.

My Question is;

If I mod and get banned from Halo 2 matchmaking, will I be banned from Halo 3 matchmaking when it comes out?

Also, my Gamertag is CR3AT10N. I am using it on my 360. If I recover my CR3AT10N account on an old xbox (Not 360) then mod with my CR3AT10N account on an old xbox and get CR3AT10N banned from matchmaking will I be banned from matchmaking when I play with my CR3AT10N account on my 360?


Sorry to double post. And I am, of course, talking about Halo 2 in both of these posts.

i do believe that in every example you offered, yes you'd be ban-screwed.

 

Since I started this thread, I don't think its hurting anyone if I double post, but I see where you are coming from.

Starters, its harder to mod a 360 so i dont think u could do it but anyways. When you get banned ur banned from Halo2 matchmaking and if u try to recover it i might not let u or it will BUT!! When u recover and mod ur xbox(orignal) it will still be banned! The TAG has been banned sorry its been tried.

No you will not get banned. The only way you could get banned from halo 3 is if they ban your ip from xbox live.

 

@beeg, they dont ban your ip from live, they ban your EEPROM
@abries, it is not hard to mod a 360 for halo games.

 

True Dat DeadRain, It's your eproom that gets banned.

 

yea if they banned your ip, you could just ( I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT) go get a dif router.

 

If i wanted to change my IP i would just ask my ISP to change it and they would.

Thanks for your help guys, but you kinda woke this topic from the dead. Its very old as I started it at the beginning of September and its now coming to the beginning of December.

I have decided not to mod anyway now just in case lol.
