Currently have Eurovox in my bedroom where there is a virgin media socket in my room.
We also have SKY in the living room, but now want to do any with the sky box and get another eurovox box to replace it.

Can I (do I have to?) get virgin media to install an extra tv inlet/cable etc into the living room and will this cost much? Enabling those in the living to watch different programmes than what I watch in my bedroom?

I'm I able to install this extra line myself even by splitting where the inlet is in my room and running a cable to the living room?

As far as I am aware it is possible to split your main feed into 2 by using a splitter and extra coax etc, you may have to purchase a variable gain amplifier to boost your signal after you do this.

When you get your new STB it is important that you tune it in on the main feed.

Cheers, dont suppose you know of a tutorial with a step-by-step guide of how to install it and the exact materials I need to buy for the splitting etc?

hi mate, i originally had a eurovox just in the living room.
main feed comes in through the outside wall into living room.
i bought (from local hardware shop) 8 metres of coax, a splitter, and 2 connecting plugs ( to go into new eurovox and splitter)
i connected 1 end to the splitter, passed through a new hole i drilled in wall, fed it through a new hole i drilled in wall to bedroom. i tuned in the new box on my main feed downstairs then installed it upstairs.
    works for me just fine.
i suppose you might need a gain amplifier if length of cable is a lot longer, but mine is just fine.
    good luck.
