I have Nero Recode and its what i use to convert movies to my ipod im trying to put OLDBOY on there and the language is in korean so i need the subtitles i selected the subtitle option before recoding the video but it didnt show up in the finished product. is there anyway to recode dvds so that the subtitles will show up without having to go into the menu options and turn it on because obviously i cant keep the menu structure on my ipod... or can i? or is there a free program that will let me keep the subtitles?

Sorry to keep you waiting Geroid. I believe you can keep your subtitles with PQ DVD, which isn't free, but that is the only way I know how to do it. You can't keep the menu structure on the iPod, the video portion of the iPod plays as a video and that's it.

Thx DarkJello im using the free trial of the program and it is definately worth buying when i get some extra money its very easy to use. i had been putting my movies on my ipod using nero recode and i know i loose the menu structure but there was a subtitle option that i thought would work but it encoded the video without it. thx alot for the help.

Well its only supposed to work for five minutes before stopping in the trial version I believe. When I was using the trial it ended up being closer to ten though. If the audio is in sync with the video then the program should work for you just fine.

Glad to hear it, the hardest part about making DVD's compatible with iPods is telling people they have to try a few different methods to try the one that works best for them.

You may also try clonedvd mobile their trial is fully operational and last for 21 days. It has subtitle capability...

    Just my 2 cents anyway.

    Cheers!!!
