Hi, I have a toshiba projector and a ps3. well i want to get the best picture possible but heres the problem. my projector only has the standard video and sounds jacks(yellow, red, white). it also has the 15 pin hook up for computers to hook in to it. My question is. Is there anything out there like a HDMI to a 15 pin computer cable, or convertor that will get me HD.....ANYTHING

    Thanks shawn

I have a low end projector that can accept component input through the vga port with an inexpensive cable. This is a function of the projector and is listed in the manual, it is not universal to all projectors. Using a progressive, component out, DVD player or standalone OTA HD tuner results in a better looking picture than the composite inputs, but the resolution of the projector does not support HD. Better picture quality... yes, HD... no.

Thanks MysticE. In your personal opinion do you think it is worth buying the equipment to get better quality? Does it show noticable change? i am a movie person and a gamer. anyways if so could you send me some links with what equipment is good in your book id appreciate it. possibly a link for both the VGA cable. and the progressive, standalone OTA HD tuner.

    thanks again

What's the model number of your projector? Many decent HD projectors can be had rather cheaply these days.

A cable like this, but my Viewsonic manual specifically states that component input is available through the vga port. In my case the Karaoke guy uses the composite, The Dish/satellite uses svideo, and the component inputs are for the DVD player (most of the time).
