    Hello,

I cant start to explain what happen to my hard drive, but for what ever reason I think it crashed in a chain reaction with my mobo.
I purchased a new pc and Im trying to get my files off the ole drive
    my pictures to be exact.

I have used a couple of different programs to try and recover the pictures but they seem to still be missing.
Anyone know if a certain program is better than another for retrieving pictures???
Thanks in advance for any help

The program that I have used several times succsfully is PC Inspector. If the drive is healthy, you should be able to recover some, if not all, of your data. You can get it at download.com.

Unless the other programs modified the data somehow, it should be fine. You put the old drive as a slave in the new machine, right? When you pen up PI (PC Inspector), have it look at the physical drives. You should select Fixed Disk #2....double check you are selecting the correct drive based on its size. Then have PI search for logical drives on the physical drive. May take some time, but be patient. Once thats done, you should be able to browse the files.
