getting lost in eveything!

hello all, ive ben trying to burn dvd movies for 4 days...started with a membership , downloaded all their tools, burners ,decoders and all the other...still cant get the dang blasted movie to play.checked out all i could find in "AD" on it..im dont want to make a stir or trouble by mentioning names but this movie download sites "Tech support" Sucks.i have avi2dvd,the coedec pac,and dvddycrypter and 2 differant movies from utorreance...the movies will play fine on the computer. what gives? is their an easier way to convert avi to dvd? pleace any suggestions...btw im not a computer genius
