    Hi all,
for my graduation present I am getting a laptop computer and would like some input. I was wondering what computers are good for the price. I looking for a machine that will most importantly play games, next importantly be able to operate on a battery for a while when I'm in class (not nessesarily while I'm playing games) and the least important is size. I've been an intel man but have heard good things about AMD and was hoping some people comment on which they preferr. Also, what graphics card would you recomend. FInally, I'm looking to keep the cost under or around $2,000.
    Thanks

My girlfriend just got a Dell D600 for her graduation present. She loves it. I haven't had too much time to play around with it yet though. From what I did use it though, seems to have nice battery life.

This might not help you much. Bought a Toshiba Laptop back late 1999, I think I Paid $1299 for it. That was a long time ago, but the thing worked great. I also bought a Sony Vaio in 2001 for $1700 and it was a Piece of $hit, would overheat, boot me offline. Took it back 4 days later. I would check out Toshiba, HP, possibly an Emachine, they got a nice wide view screen and are priced right.

POWERBOOK or iBOOK!!! and then get a low end PC, trust me you want the best of both worlds, osx has a built in *nix terminal, and the best gui of any os, low end laptops can still run most of anything, good luck on your purchase!!!

    Got ISOs?
