I've been having problems lately when backing up DVD's using CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. For some reason I can't get audio without the d*$#%ed director's comments. I can select off from the menu during playback but it doesn't matter how many times I do it the audio still has directors comments which makes the backup worthless by my estimation. What can I be doing wrong? I always always always deselect directors comments when I run CloneDVD2. Why are they still there? And why can't I get rid of them? Help me if you can I'm feeling down.... thanks!

I had the same problem when I first started out. All you have to do is only select "English Dolby AC-3/6" in the audio stream. [bold]"Unselect Dolby AC-3/2"[/bold], thats were the directors comments are. Cheers!

CloneDVD2 is an excellent one-click transcoder, but you have to be mindful of the selections that it is making... The biggest VTS or the first title is not always the main movie. That's what keeps me using Recode2 so often.

Thank you both for your comments. It sounds like I have been making the wrong choice in selecting the audio stream.... I mean I figured it was something that I was doing, but I didn't have a clue. Thanks again!

    just a heads up

    AC-3/6 = 5.1 audio output
(for say a surround sound system)

    &

    AC-3/2 = 2.0 Dolby Digital
(for standard audio, no surround sound needed)
