many thanks to pazzini for giving me the unlock code.... But the phone still shows the vodafone logo, and more importantly it tries to connect to vodafone wap and can't....how do I get rid of the vodafone settings and get the o2 ones of my new sim card in place?
This might help you with WAP settings http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html O2 site for Wap settings http://www.o2.co.uk/services/ota4/select As for the vodafone logo you could download a blank wallpaper/screensaver. Or you could take the phone to a shop and have it flashed with O2 software.
