Some assholes went and for some bizarre reason change my roadrunner router (no idea why other than they're retards). Now no "green light" on utorrent. Trying to forward ports but 'ipconfig /all' is giving me one IP address while sites that tell you your IP address are giving me a different one. I also can't figure out how to get my "correct" DNS address. This new router is a SMC8014wg-s1 (looks cheap). Any info would be deeply appreciated.
Use the IP address you see at ipconfig/all, I see a different address at other sites, even PortForward. If your DNS Server(s) at ipconfig/all can't be used, you can find them on the status page of your router or these work fine: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=150520 The link is there or the Server's are down a bit.
I'll definately try both but how do i find the status page of the router? Thanks fr the help by the way.
It's been a while since I had to do this but I couldn't use my DNS Server's at ipconfig/all and I found them by logging into my router and found the status page there. Your ISP should be able to let you know your DNS Server's too but some may not be much help. Incidentally, Open DNS works great, I've never heard a bad word about it and used them myself for a time.
