I have 3 computers in my house, one (downstairs) is hooked up to the modem and there is another laptop upstairs that we dont have problems with but there is another computer that is hooked up just to a wireless router (the ethernet cord goes from the computer into the 1 port on the router (not the WAN port the 1 port) (nothing is hooked up into the WAN) The second I do that all the wireless computer/laptops cannot connect to the internet plzzzz help!!!!!!!
Additional info needed: Is the downstairs computer hooked into a dialup, dsl, or cable modem? Is the downstairs computer connected wirelessly to the network? Does the upstairs computer (not laptop) also have a wireless connection or just the wired connection? Have you tried a wireless connection with it? Did you run the network setup disk with each computer? What OS does each computer use? Do all the computers ever show up as being on the same network?
