Ok, so I made a home movie with my miniDV camera. I transfered it to my PC via firewire (avi format). It lasts approximately 25 minutes, and it's a little over 5 GB's. I don't want to compress it, so I figured I would do some great looking menus and burn it to a dual layer DVD. I tried DVDStyler, but apparently it doesn't work with avi files. Is there a program that would allow me to do some great looking menus? I was willing to have a menu of 1+ GB in size since I cana afford it, and it would make my video look more professional. Is someone willing to help me one on one? We could work something out.
TMPGenc will do some fancy menus - although if you do not intend to compress it, I don't know how the menu will work. I only know of DVD format disks with a menu and Ultra-DivX data disks - played on a compatible player. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/advanced_tmpgenc_dvd_author_guide.cfm
Yes, I was wondering how the menu would work unless it was attached to DVD files - from your post it seemed to me that you were keeping the files as AVI. I have used these programs to create menus from scratch for DVD's. Create menu graphic page (correct size for pal/ntsc) with VCDMenu Lite http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/VCD_Menu_Lite/vcdmenu.html Convert Menu Graphic to 'still' image and link to VOB's with DVD Author GUI http://download.videohelp.com/liquid217/dvdauthorgui.pl
