What bus type are you using?
    PCI, AGP or PCI-E.
What budget do you have? and do you want to go to Crossfire or SLi in the future with this card?

With that budget you are looking at one of the following Nvidia cards, as obviously ATI is Crossfire.
    BIOSTAR Geforce 6600GT 256MB @ $129
    XFX Geforce 6600GT 128MB @ $119

Best bet would be the following:
    eVGA 256-P2-N547 Geforce 7600GS 256MB $119

Personally I wouldn't even look at PCI interface at all unless you are using the PC as a workstation with specific applications.
The lower end cards are crap compared to most of todays top gaming cards, the higher end business use cards are not going to help you play games, and can cost up to £1500.
Its like everything else, you can always find something that knocks all the competion out the water, but the price matches the performance.

    Quadro FX600 256MB PCI 2xDVI-I
Matrox QID Pro 256MB PCI Quad DVI-I
    Matrox Parhelia HR256 256MB PCI
