Hi guys, encountered the following error whenever I get onto Google website: "Google Error We're sorry... ... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software. If you're continually receiving this error, you may be able to resolve the problem by deleting your Google cookie and revisiting Google. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google." I've tried norton but there was nothing. I then tried spybot and found zlob and smitfraud, which spybot fixed. However, I still cant get onto Google. Appreciate if you can help and advise. Thanks.
Hi gadgetsz Before we begin the cleanup process, it is important to do a little analysis first. We will analyze your computer with a tool called HijackThis. Please download the HijackThis zip file. Save it onto a convenient place in your computer, and then unzip the file. Rename HijackThis(.exe) to scanner(.exe). Next, run scanner(.exe). A window will pop up. • Click on the button which says Main Menu, then Do a system scan and save a logfile. • Please wait for the scan to be completed. • After the scan has completed, a text window will pop up. Please post the contents of this window here. This will also be located at hijackthis(.txt) in the same folder that HijackThis was originally saved. Hey gadgetsz While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things. Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean. • Open Spybot Search & Destroy. • In the Mode tab click "Advanced mode" if not already selected. • Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt. • Expand the "Tools" menu. • Click "Resident". • Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box. • In the File tab click "Exit" to exit Spybot. Please run HijackThis. • Click on the button which says Main Menu, then Do a system scan only. • Please wait for the scan to be completed. • After the scan has completed, check the following entries.
