When encoding using TMPGEnc with a GOP setting of 132 I get the expected sequence of: IBBPBBPBBPBB.

But if I force picture settings and load an I frame number list I get this sequence: IPBBPBBPBBPB.

Can someone tell me how I can force TMPGEnc to use the first sequence even while using TmpgTemplate.txt?

Is there are Particular Reason why you want to screw with the GOP Pattern??? The Default GOP pattern is DVD and SVCD Compliant and Changeing the Pattern will Only Cause Problems..You can However change the Length of the GOP, I find I get optimum results in DVD"s useing a 12 frame GOP...And Tmpgenc automaticly Inserts I Frames whenever there is a Scene change detected and Putting in I Frames were Tmpgenc doesn"t naturally want to Put one will Break Up the Gop Patters and can cause Higher File sizes if too many I Frames are inserted..If you are Putting in I Frames so you can Insert Chapter Points at certain frames then In Many cases there is No need to because Most Chapter points are at Scene changes were there will Be a I Frame anyways..And if there isn"t an I Frame at the exact Frame you want there will be one within 6 Frames forwords or Back if useing a 12 Frame GOP...I have never had Luck with Tmpgenc"s Force Picture Type Setting so When I have to Insert a Chapter List into the encoded File I use "CinemaCraft Encoder" were you Just Have to Copy and Paste the Chapter List in and it Puts them were they are needed..well sorry I couldn"t help Much...Cheers_X_X_X_X_X_[small]It"s better to be Pissed Off than Pissed On!!![/small]
