I just got a letter today, and I can't seem to get a straight answer from Cox at all, first they said they thought it was a fraudulant letter, then I was told there was nothing on my account stating I would be disconnected, and now I am waiting on the phone to talk to the tech guys again, (however the first CSR i jsut talked to said he was surprised and said he might be getting letter himself because he does the same thing!) I just don't want to be disconnected from my internet service for something that I didn't even know was a problem... I just used bit torrent, sharing files, I could have just as easily got a tape for the TV show's I downloaded from a friend... that's not illeagle...anyway,.... here's hoping I can get a straight answer. ..... Just got off the phone, they still didn't seem to know what I was talking about, but they said that as long as the file was removed from my system all should be ok... They said that Cox can't and doesn't look into what people are downloading, and it's up to the company to go any further... My only concern now, is that there were actually five episodes of DLM on there, and now I have to go through this for all five... but the CSR assured me that as long as the files were no longer on my computer that there wasn't a problem. How do they know what's on my computer I asked her, she said anyone at anytime can get into you computer and look... that's a freaking scarey thought!
