Last night I installed DVD Shrink and also DVD Decrypter. For what I can understand, DVD Shrink will let you back-up your DVD movie onto your hard drive. You can also remove certain options to reduce the file size . Now, DVD Decrypter you will use it to decrypt and copy a DVD to your PC hard disk too. Last night for the first time, I tried using these 2 programs. Consequently I have the "Sponge Bob movie" saved twice in my hard drive. One through DVD Shrink, where I have the chance to remove certain options, and the other one through DVD Decrypter, where it saved the whole DVD (exact copy). I have Sonic Record Now program and it only lets me burn DVDs if the origin is coming from my D drive (not from my hard drive). Therefore DVD Shrink is useless. Then I tried DVD Decrypter and I am able to burn it, BUT it does not let me because the movie is bigger than my blank DVD. I found an article where it says that the size needs to be less than 4,718,592,000 bytes, otherwise the movie won't fit on a blank DVD... ok, that's correct!! but how do I reduce this bytes using DVD Decrypter? I cannot use DVD Shrink because Sonic Record Now does not like it (remember it only let me get the movie from drive D, not hard drive). Please help me on this... Carolina
hi dvd shrink does infact shrink the dvd to the right size! also you can use dvd decrypter to burn it after! also you can rip just the main movie with dvd decrypter and then use dvd shrink set shrink to use dvd decrypters burn engine!
